Procedures and Surgeries

Gynecologic surgery is often used as a last resort when other noninvasive treatments are not effective in relieving symptoms. Surgery may be used to treat cancer, endometriosis, fibroids, uterine prolapse, excessive bleeding and more, and often offers patients the most effective relief from their troubling conditions.

Dr. Perry and Dr. Escobar have considerable experience in surgical evaluation and management of gynecologic conditions and offer minimally invasive procedures including diagnostic hysteroscopy, LEEP, endometrial ablation, and hysteroscopic resection of fibroids and polyps in the office setting. They also offer surgical intervention at Holmes Regional Medical Center for procedures that can not be performed in the office setting. These surgeries, hysterectomy, operative hysteroscopy, pelvic organ prolapse, myomectomy, and endometriosis can be done laparoscopically or with the da Vinci robot.

Our physicians focus on helping the patient understand her choices and prepare for any planned procedure or surgery. Patients may return to our practice for routine care after the completion of any major surgery performed by our physicians.
