Certified Nurse Midwives

Our Certified Nurse Midwives are all also Advanced Nurse Practitioners.

 Anette Ferrell, MSN, ARNP, CNM

Anette Ferrell provides expertise in the areas of adolescent gynecology and high-risk obstetrics. She performs routine screening exams and gynecologic care, as well as providing patients with nutritional counseling and diabetes education.

Anette received her B.S. in Nursing from Florida International University and her M.S. in Nursing with a specialization in Nurse-Midwifery at the University of Florida, College of Nursing. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. She joined Hibiscus Women’s Center in 2009 and was promoted to “lead midwife” in 2014.

 Kathleen Johnson, MN, ARNP, CNM

Kathleen Johnson completed her training at the University of Florida in 1996 and began practicing as a Certified Nurse Midwife in Brevard County in the same year. She has extensive experience in a variety of settings, including birth centers, hospitals and clinics. She was the owner of her own practice, “A Woman’s Place for Wellness,” before joining Hibiscus Women’s Center in 2014. Ms. Johnson specializes in providing education and preventative care to women of all ages and offers both obstetric and gynecologic care.

 Roxanna Cueto-Alvarez, MSN, ARNP, CNM

Roxanna joined our practice in 2015. Prior to that she was employed by a very busy collaborative practice in Fort Pierce. She has extensive experience as a labor and delivery RN in local hospitals.

She received her B.S. in Nursing in 2000 from Interamerican University of Metropolitan Puerto Rico in San Juan and her Master’s in Public Health, majoring in Nurse-Midwifery in 2006 from the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus. Her experience and training have equipped her to provide complete OB/GYN care to Hibiscus Women’s Center obstetric and gynecologic patients. She is bilingual and is committed to our goal of providing safe, evidence-based healthcare.

 Lynne Miner-Hasler, MSN, ARNP, CNM

Lynne worked as a labor and delivery nurse for 6 years before graduating from the University of Florida with a Masters Degree in Nurse Midwifery. She started a nurse-midwifery practice with Dr. Turner in Cocoa Beach in 1986. In her 32 years as a nurse midwife, she has delivered more than 1000 babies, been the director of a birth center, taught Maternity nursing and worked at Hibiscus Women’s Care for 15 years. Although she is supposed to be retired, she still returns to work at Hibiscus whenever she is needed (and not traveling with her husband).


Renee Hoyle, MSN, APRN, CNM

Renee Hoyle joined our team of delivering CNMs in November 2018. Renee received her MSN from Frontier University in July 2018 and her CNM in August 2018. Prior to coming on board with Hibiscus, Renee cared for patients as a Labor & Delivery Nurse at Holmes Regional Medical Center for 12 years. Renee specializes in prenatal, delivery and post-natal care for OB patients, and GYN contraceptive counseling and preventative care for reproductive age women.


Michelle Liddy, MSN, APRN, CNM

Michelle Liddy joined Hibiscus as a full-time, office-based provider in December 2018. Michelle received her MSN from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996. Prior to coming to Hibiscus, Michelle worked in New Jersey in private OB/GYN practices for 20+ years. Michelle specializes in: well woman gynecology for ages from puberty through post-menopause, the evaluation & treatment of gynecological conditions such as dysmenorrhea, menorrhagia, menopause, post-menopausal bleeding and dysfunctional uterine bleeding. As a CNM, Michelle also has significant experience in obstetrics.


Gyn Nurse Practitioners

Elizabeth Eason, MSN, APRN, CNM

Elizabeth Eason graduated summa cum laude from Florida State University in 1989 with a B.S. in Nursing. She received her M.S. in Nursing from the University of Florida in 1997. She has extensive experience as an independent nurse practitioner and midwife in the Brevard County area and has extensive experience as a nurse educator.

She joined Hibiscus Women’s Center in early 2011. Due to health concerns, she limited her practice to office obstetrics and gynecology in 2016. Ms. Eason is available for routine and problem gynecologic visits and provides particular expertise for patients contemplating pregnancy.
